Dr. Hunter’s area of expertise focuses on environmental economics, specifically on environmental policy and regulatory economics. In her research she has examined implications of environmental tax policy on welfare models, and has an ongoing research project developing a model of clean energy adoption in Southeast Asia (with Dr. Saquib Ahmed and others). She has overseen graduate student’s thesis topics such as cost-benefit analyses of electrifying the NFTA bus fleet, and will work alongside others in the center to evaluation the costs, benefits, and economic viability of clean energy solutions proposed and developed.
